WELCOMING THE AUTHOR SIÂN LEWIS TO YEAR 6

» Sian Lewis discussing her book Project Kite with Year 6

"During the term we've been reading Sian Lewis' book Project Kite. It is a book about the red kite, a project written by its main character Gary Lloyd. The book is fantastic and everyone in Year 6 enjoyed reading it. The book won the Earthworm award in 1994. It was a great experience to have the author herself in our school and being able to ask her questions and listening to her answers! Many thanks to her for accepting our invitation and coming to talk to us at the the end of this term."

SOFFIA IS CIP'S STAR OF THE MONTH!

» Soffia with the most recent copy of the Urdd's magazine CIP!

Many congratulations to Soffia for being the Star of the Month in this month's edition of Cip. Soffia sent a letter along with an excellent drawing to the magazine, noting that her favourite part is the Jokes corner! The prize for being Star of the Month is a Mistar Urdd pack - a sack full of amazing presents.

Well done you, Soffia!

RECEPTION CLASS' ENTREPRENEURISM PROJECT

» Reception class pupils with some of the Christmas baubles

As part of the school’s entrepreneurial venture the Reception class has been busy selling Christmas baubles.  The baubles are available in green, red and gold and have been decorated with the children’s names in glitter. The baubles are selling well at £2.00 each and the profit will go towards buying new resources for the class.

YEAR 6 CHRISTMAS CARD COMPANY

» Year 6 pupils with an order ready to be sent to the Foundation Phase

This year again the Greeting Cards company have been very busy ensuring that every pupil throughout the school design their own Christmas card before scanning and printing them on appropriate greeting cards. So far we've sold over 5,000 cards to parents of the school. We have also established a link with the shop 'Broc Môr' in town who are selling a special selection of the cards. If you would like to order a pack of Chistmas cards please contact the school.
